Netherlands AWAY EURO 2012 Soccer Jersey

ITALY HOME EURO 2012 Soccer Jersey

 

The Italy PUMA EURO 2012 home jersey was released in November and was worn for the first time in the Azzurri’s friendly win against Copa America 2011 champions Uruguay. After using an ultra-modern look for the Italy World Cup 2010 / 2010-12 home jersey, the design team at PUMA has opted for a vintage feel with the Italy EURO 2012 home shirt. Whilst made of the latest in lightweight PUMA USP moisture-wicking fabric, the new Italy jersey features a look reminiscent of the 1950s and 60s with a flat knit rib collar and bottomless placket with two buttons underneath.  The Italy PUMA EURO 2012 home jersey is extremely light in weight compared to today’s other soccer jerseys. As such it feels very comfortable on the skin and almost like you’re not wearing anything at times.

The Italy PUMA 2012/13 home shirt offers a couple of significance. The first is a set of four golden stars on the inner neckline in recognition of Il Azzurri’s four FIFA World Cup titles. MUFC 2008 Uefa Champions League Moscow Final Jersey

This is an AUTHENTIC Manchester United FC jersey worn by the players during the UCL final in Moscow 2008.

The 2008 UEFA Champions League Final was a football match that took place on Wednesday, 21 May 2008 at 19:45 BST (22:45 local time). The match was played at the Luzhniki Stadium, in Moscow, Russia, to determine the winner of the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League. The final was contested by Manchester United and Chelsea, making it an all-English club final for the first time in the history of the competition. This was only the third time that two clubs from the same country had contested the final; the others being the 2000 and 2003 finals. The game was won by Manchester United 6–5 on penalties, after a 1–1 draw following extra time.

This was the first European Cup final staged in Russia, and hence the easternmost final in the tournament’s history. It was also Chelsea’s first European Cup final in their history. The significance for United was that 2008 marked the 50th anniversary of the Munich air disaster, and the 40th anniversary of United’s first European Cup triumph in 1968.

In recent years, the Champions League final has been given an identity of its own with a unique logo, a design concept, and an overall theme. The objective is to help promote the final and enhance the prestige of one of the world’s biggest sporting events. The initial idea that inspired the creation of a new identity for each final was to develop a design with a distinctive flavour of the host city. On 31 October, in Moscow, the Final’s new design was presented to public. The ceremony was held in the press conference room at the Luzhniki Stadium and the design was unveiled in presence of the ambassador for the final, former Russian goalkeeper Rinat Dasayev.
